Regular Season Races:
-Each team will accrue points throughout the season to qualify for either the state or the JV conference meet. Teams will receive place points each race as follows:
1st Place = 12 points
2nd Place = 9 points
3rd Place = 7 points
4th Place = 5 points
All other competing teams = 3 points
-The first place Varsity and JV teams will also receive gold medals.
-The top three Varsity finishers at each race will receive a medal and will receive place points as follows:
3 points= Gold (1st)
2 points= Silver(2nd)
1 point= Bronze (3rd)
Sunday, February 16 - Monday February 17, 2020 at Mt. LaCrosse
-The top 12 Varsity Boys' School Teams and the top 12 Varsity Girls' School Teams will qualify to compete at the State Championship Meet .
-Racers who finish first at any regular season race will qualify to compete at the State Championship Meet as an individual provided they have raced in at least three conference races.
-Racers with 5 or more place points from regular season races will also qualify to compete at the State Championship Meet as an individual provided they have raced at least three conference races.
JV Conference Qualification:
Thursday, February 20, 2020 at 5:00pm at Alpine Valley
-The top JV boy's and girl's teams from the regular season point totals qualify to compete in the JV conference meet.
-The JV Conference Race will be comprised of 20 teams, with the allocation of boys and girls teams being determined on a pro-rata basis each year after registration has been finalized. Schools will only include their first JV teams for purposes of determining the total number of teams.
-Each racer must have raced in at least three races throughout the season in order to be eligible to race at the JV Conference race.
PLEASE NOTE: A racer who has competed in three or more varsity races throughout the year OR in the varsity state competition may NOT complete in the JV conference race.
